You're all set. Follow these simple steps to start debugging your OpenAI Ads pixel in minutes.
Click the puzzle icon in your Chrome toolbar, find ChatGPT Pixel Helper, and pin it for easy access. The extension icon will appear in your toolbar so you can open it on any page.
Navigate to any website that has the OpenAI Ads pixel installed — your WordPress site, a Shopify store, or any page running oaiq.js from cdn.openai.com.
Click the ChatGPT Pixel Helper icon in your toolbar. The popup will instantly scan the page and display the pixel ID, captured events, beacon count, and cookie status.
Perform actions like page views, add-to-cart, checkout, or form submissions. Events will appear live in the popup — no page refresh needed.
Use the event details panel to inspect payloads, check for missing fields, and verify conversion tracking is working correctly. The CAPI detector will flag any browser-side /v1/events calls.
