Overview
Ridoway Pixel is a WordPress plugin for OpenAI Ads conversion tracking, along with the ChatGPT Pixel Helper Chrome extension for pixel debugging. This privacy policy explains how we handle data.
Data Collection
The Ridoway Pixel plugin processes data solely for the purpose of sending conversion events to OpenAI Ads. Specifically:
- The plugin sends conversion events (such as purchases, leads, sign-ups) to OpenAI's Conversions API and/or browser pixel endpoint (
bzr.openai.com) as configured by the site owner. - Data sent includes standard conversion parameters: event name, timestamp, conversion value, currency, and relevant metadata (e.g., order ID, product details for WooCommerce, form fields for CF7/WPForms).
- The plugin does not collect, store, or transmit data to any server owned or operated by Ridoway.
Chrome Extension
The ChatGPT Pixel Helper Chrome extension operates entirely locally:
- All pixel inspection happens in your browser. No data is sent to external servers.
- The extension reads page content and network requests solely to detect and display pixel activity.
- No browsing history, event data, or personal information is stored or transmitted.
- No data persists beyond the current browser session.
Cookies
Ridoway Pixel does not set any first-party cookies itself. The OpenAI Ads pixel may set the __oppref cookie for deduplication and user matching purposes, which is standard OpenAI Ads behavior. This website may use Cloudflare's analytics and security features which set essential cookies.
Third-Party Services
- OpenAI — Conversion events are sent to OpenAI Ads via their pixel and Conversions API. Data handling is governed by OpenAI's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance.
- WordPress.org — The plugin is distributed through WordPress.org. Their privacy policy applies to plugin downloads.
- Chrome Web Store — The extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store. Google's privacy policy governs extension installation.
Your Rights
Since Ridoway does not collect or store any personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. For data sent to OpenAI Ads through the plugin, please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for your rights regarding that data.
